Start Ugly
Other than reports and papers, I haven’t written much in a long time. Although I had a blog before migrating to Hugo, there’s been absolutely nothing on it. It seems I enjoy the deployment process far more than actually writing content. Hopefully, this time, I can at least start sharing some of my thoughts. The main reason behind this migration is me trying to be more minimalism. In the past my blog has all the fancy features such as music player that I never used. While I’ve considered myself a minimalist for quite some time, I never really reflected on what minimalism means to me—or, more importantly, what I actually need: a simple space to capture my thoughts. Hugo and PaperMod seem like the perfect fit. They’re lightweight, static, and actively maintained. Hugo has native multilingual support, and best of all, it can be deployed without a backend.
